South Beloit Police Dept. Night Out Event

Rock Energy Cooperative was on-hand at the South Beloit National Night Out celebration, which was held Tuesday, Aug. 6 at the South Beloit American Legion Hall on Dorr Road. Rock Energy had a table set up at the event displaying natural gas safety materials, safety videos and an LED light bulb display. The co-op gave out various free items to attendees who stopped by the table.

The event, which was free and open to the community, featured free food (hot dogs, brats, chips and cookies were served for free) and beverages, as well as ticket drawings offering prizes such as backpacks filled with school supplies, bicycles, family games and more. Rock Energy donated two "Safety Bundles" as giveaways for the ticket drawings. Each bundle included:

South Beloit Police Chief Adam Truman said, "This great event was made possible thanks to donations from local businesses and community members." The event attracted 150 to 200 people.
