Employees from Karcz Utility Services will be working on Rock Energy Cooperative equipment in IL again this year. Karcz will be starting March 6th with an estimated end date between the beginning and middle of April depending on weather. They will be working in the north edge of the Village of Rockton and the City of South Beloit.
They will be performing routine maintenance on the pad-mounted transformers in members’ yards and along the roads. Also known “green electrical boxes,” the transformers play an important role in distributing electricity through underground power lines.
The Karcz employees, who will carry identification, will be in vehicles with highly visible signs for both Karcz and Rock Energy. If members are questioning if the workers are legitimate, have them look for Rock Energy’s official logo displayed prominently on their vehicles. Karcz employees will be wearing white hard hats and high visibility vests. The contracted work is on outside equipment only. Workers will not be entering members’ home nor should they ask to enter homes.
