Natural gas system getting upgrade in South Beloit, Rockton

In our continuous effort to supply members with safe and reliable natural gas service, Rock Energy Cooperative is continuing a project in Rockton and starting one in South Beloit to upgrade our natural gas system.

This project involves installing new gas mains, replacing some older natural gas mains, as well as some service pipes to members’ homes.  REC will contact you if a service line replacement is necessary.

Erroneous email sent to members

Some members may have received an erroneous email on Saturday from Rock Energy’s account with Constant Contact, an email service provider. The co-op contracts with Constant Contact to send occasional emails to members about co-op events, safety tips, and other useful information. Our account with Constant Contact contains only email addresses. All information associated with your Rock Energy account are securely stored on our private server. At Rock Energy, we take your account security very seriously.

Demand rates available for non-residential members

The Rock Energy Cooperative Board of Directors has authorized changes to several rates for non-residential electrical use.

Under one board change, if a member billed on the cooperative’s General Service-Schedule A rate consumes more than 7 kilowatts for non-residential purposes, such account shall be subject to a demand rate schedule. To learn more, see Understanding the Demand Charge
