Thanks for your patience during storm
Rock Energy Cooperative would like to thank members for their patience and understanding during Saturday’s devastating storm.
Ice combined with high winds caused widespread outages throughout the co-op’s service territory beginning about 10 p.m. Friday and continuing throughout the day and night on Saturday.
As crews worked to repair lines and restore power, new outages would occur. In total, thousands of members were without power at some point.
In addition to Rock Energy crews, workers from Scenic Rivers, Oakdale, Adams Columbia, and Richland Center electric co-ops assisted in restoring power. Employees from Pieper Power in Janesville also helped. Rock Energy offers its sincere gratitude to everyone who played a role in bringing power back to our members.
Members should be aware that some damage was only temporarily repaired on Saturday. Additional outages may occur in the days ahead as permanent repairs are made.
Again, we want to thank members for their patience and understanding. Power outages are always difficult, but it’s even worse when they occur during winter.
