Rock Energy Welcomes Wisconsin State Senator Julian Bradley For Co-op Visit
Newly elected Wisconsin state Senator Julian Bradley (R-Franklin) visited Rock Energy Cooperative's Janesville, WI, office on Monday, May 3, where he participated in an engaging and in-depth conversation about the issues facing electric cooperatives. Rock Energy CEO Shane Larson hosted the meeting along with other cooperative leaders. Wisconsin Electric Cooperative Association (WECA) President and CEO Stephen Freese and Director of Government Relations Rob Richard also attended.

“We had a very productive meeting in which we informed the senator about Rock Energy Cooperative and the entire Wisconsin electric cooperative family,” Larson said. “We talked about future energy reliability and affordability, distributed generation, electric vehicles, and pole attachments, among other things. Senator Bradley was very attentive to the issues and asked excellent questions.”

Julian Bradley was elected to serve the 28th Senate District in November of 2020. This is his first position as a state elected official. Bradley is a La Crosse native and graduated from the University of Wisconsin—La Crosse with degrees in political science and economics. He worked for CenturyLink before moving to the Milwaukee area for a job with Northwestern Mutual. The 28th District includes parts of Milwaukee and Waukesha counties, but as a state senator, Bradley will be helping to make decisions that affect electric cooperatives statewide.

According to his campaign website, Bradley supports gun rights, lower taxes, and voter ID. His pro-life stance prompted him to join the Republican party as a young man. He has the endorsement of the Milwaukee Police Association.
