Electricity restored after gas main dig-in
Electricity to about 150 Rock Energy Cooperative members was interrupted today after excavators hit a natural gas main at Wheeler and Clark streets in South Beloit about 8 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9. The electricity needed to be shut off in the area because of the blowing natural gas. The co-op’s gas technicians are at the scene repairing the damage, which is expected to take about three hours. Power was restored at 9:45 a.m.
