Additional power outages possible

Power line coated in ice

Please be advised that there is the possibility of additional power outages if the wind picks up because many power lines remain coated in ice after last weekend’s storm.

Also, be careful if you’re working outside because ice falling from power lines and trees could present a serious safety issue.

Rock Energy crews had to temporarily stop working this morning because large chunks of ice were falling from overhead lines. As the weather warms and the ice melts, crews will continue permanently repairing power lines that were temporarily fixed over the weekend. These repairs may result in additional outages.

Our metering system notifies the co-op immediately of any power outages on our lines, and they appear on our website’s Outage Map. If there are outages, they will be listed by zip code, township, and county. Just click on Outage Details to change the map’s view. Members can call the co-op at 866-752-4550 if they have additional information about their outage.
